This initial course focuses on very basic communication in French. Students learn to understand and use familiar everyday expressions, simple greetings, and phrases aimed at immediate needs. The curriculum covers self-introduction, asking/answering questions about personal details (e.g., where they live, people they know), and essential vocabulary. The goal is to interact in a simple way, provided the other person speaks slowly, clearly, and is prepared to help. The language studied involves present tense and core sentence structures to establish fundamental conversational ability.
This A1 French course is strictly for absolute beginners with no prior knowledge of the language. It is the essential level for travelers who want to navigate Paris or other Francophone regions and those needing to establish the basic foundation for further study. Ideal for quickly learning survival French and basic pronunciation.
Upon completion, you will be able to introduce yourself, discuss your family, ask and answer simple questions about your immediate needs, and handle basic transactions like ordering food. This course is your first step toward the DELF A1 exam.
